English Introduction:
Yaji and Kita are placed against the late-Edo-period Battle of Toba-Fushimi, where the comic pair unexpectedly joins the troops and encounters a succession of misunderstandings. Tomiyasu Ikeda directed this 1928 Japanese silent period comedy, now surviving mainly in a fragment of about eight minutes.
